Licensed Since 1997, Family-Run Today
Local H Electric is a family-run business with a passion for craftsmanship and local pride, serving the Kansas City metro.
Our Story and Commitment
Todd M. Harlow earned his master electrician’s certificate in 1997 — the same year his twin boys were born, pictured here just weeks old. Those boys grew up around the trade, and Local H Electric is what the family built on it. Four family members run it today, bringing over 80 years of combined experience to every job, with no franchise fees or call-center scripts standing between you and the person actually doing the work.
We prioritize safety and code compliance, serving Kansas City with the same hands-on care we’d want for our own family’s home.

What the Metro Is Saying
Came in and upgraded my electrical panel, added a whole home surge protector and ran a new circuit for EV charging. All done in 7 hours
Fantastic! Fair price and great service! The crew was great. Everyone is very knowledgeable and will explain everything in depth to you. They are my go-to from now on.
I had 4 light fixtures that didn't work. Local H Electric was able to diagnose and replace for a fair price, and completed the job the same day. They even went above and beyond, by adding a spacer to cover the wall where the new smaller fixture didn't quite cover. They were professional, efficient and I would highly recommend.
